Explore New Jersey Wines with Me

Allow me to Introduce Myself

My name’s Steve and I am from New Jersey. I am one of the few people who love the Garden State, but for what’s worth, it’s full of natural treasures and hidden gems. I was born and raised here, and my family roots are here too.

I have always had an appreciation of wine. When I was little, my grandfather used to make his wine in the basement. During Sunday dinners, he would share it with family and friends. Since then, I have always been intrigued by the winemaking process and learning about wine. So here I am in my mid-fifties, finally getting around to it.

I am an educator. Now that the kids are grown, I have decided to dive into the world of wine. Not just any wine, but New Jersey wine. Why? Because everybody else is doing the whole European thing and the Napa scene. I wanted to be different. I wanted to explore the local world around me. I am beginning this journey. I invite you to follow me. Join me as I tour wineries and vineyards throughout and around the Garden State.

I am also involved in a winemaking club, The Carriage House Winemakers, where we make our wines from scratch. It’s a bunch of good people from New Jersey who enjoy making wine together. We pick the grapes, crush them, and do everything else right up to bottling day. I will share all that fun stuff, too. Feel free to check out my YouTube Channel as well.
