New Jersey currently has four AVAs that grow and produce wine. An AVA is an American Viticultural Area. From the Hudson Valley of New York to the Delaware Water Gap down to the southern tip of the peninsula, wine is being grown, harvested, and vinified right here in the Garden State. Warren Hills AVA

This AVA is entirely located in Warren County, NJ, and includes most of the towns inside of it. There are approximately five wineries producing wine grapes in the Warren Hills AVA.
Central Delaware Valley AVA

The Central Delaware Valley AVA is located alongside the Deleware River and includes Hunterdon and Mercer Counties as well as Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Approximately three wineries are operating within this AVA.
Outer Coastal Plains AVA

The Outer Coastal Plains AVA includes the following counties: Cumberland, Cape May, Atlantic, and Ocean counties plus sections from Salem, Gloucester, Camden, Burlington, and Monmouth counties. There are approximately 32 wineries operating in the Outer Coastal Plains AVA.
Cape May Peninsula AVA

Cape May County Peninsula AVA consists of Cape May County and a small area in Cumberland County. There are approximately 7 Wineries producing wine in this AVA.
